Each piece in this series is drawn from the amazing rodeo photography of Jackson Adair. Each portrait was taken inside a pop-up studio Adair constructed at rodeos around Oklahoma.

Jackson is a credentialed commercial photographer, but when he's not on assignment, his subjects are anything but glamorous. The striking contrast between his polished, high-definition photography and the raw, character-driven stories he captures instantly drew me in and sparked my desire to draw. Adair kindly gave me permission to do just that—resulting in this series.
